Heat and Mavericks, sweeter the second time around
So it’s set. After five years, the Miami Heat and the Dallas Mavericks will meet again in the 2011 NBA Finals.
Yes, Heat and Mavs: Part II
The first time these two teams met in the Finals, Gary Payton was still playing and Antoine Walker still had money in the bank.
Dallas was a favorite back then. They won Games 1 and 2, then fell to the Heat in the next four. Dwyane Wade was phenomenal, carrying the the whole Miami crew on his back. Dirk choked.
But Dirk Nowitzki has been a beast these 2011 Playoffs. He’s been averaging 63 points per game, shooting 75% from the field. (No, I am not exaggerating)
I think Jason Kidd deserves a ring more than anyone. He’s 38 years old, been in the league for so long but still manages to play at a high level. He is one of the best point guards. EVER.
Chris Bosh probably feels like a 13-yr old girl with tickets to a Bieber concert.
The keys to this series is Dirk’s shooting, the Mavericks’ bench and Miami’s frontline defense.
I think both squads will play small most of the time.
My family lives in Dallas, so I guess you know who I’m rooting for.
And yeah, FUCK LEBRON.
